So, apparently my IP address specifically thru Firefox has been banned? If I switch to a different browser, it works just fine.
More than likely there's some issues with Firefox and it's pluggins that's tripped the cloudflare security, not all that surprized by that.

Likewise I got a ban on my IP address on my PC, though just DC/Reco the wifi was enough to get through again. I'll add in a suggestion : when the IP is banned, please provide in the message displayed for banned users with a mail address or discord link or SOMETHING to contact you guys about it. Thanks.

I don't use discord and Firefox has been acting very buggy lately, so i was planning on switching browsers anyways(switched to Opera, which apparently has a vpn thing).
Firefox had an issue with it's pluggins last week, where it de-authorized just about all of them for several hours.
Anything that had to do with monitoring things, like rss feeds, adblockers, etc, was de-authorized and disabled.
Firefox's had problems on and off in the past year or two, where certain sites don't work properly and I think it's just an issue with how it handles scripts.
tldr : Firefox keeps changing things with every update, and there's site compatibility issues. Just change browsers.

I didn't get banned, but I tripped some sort of counter that said 8/ 7 etc because I refreshed the image too fast.

I'm on Waterfox right now since Addons don't work on Firefox right now, is that supposed to happen?

It's not random. It's based on the rate at which people hit the site.

Multiple tabs loading is a lot of concurrent hits for example.

We are still tweaking it so regular users aren't going to hit the limit. Just bear with us while we find the middle ground.

That counter thing sounds like something you could trigger if you had a bunch of Mangadex links in a session restore and the browser decided to load all those links at once.

Or if you page turn through a chapter to get to where you are or forgot which loads images really fast instead of the reader looking at the images might trigger the counter right?

Tabs that are already loaded in the browser don't count right? Once loaded they don't send data etc.

Browser restore has already got a few people banned. One of the things we are trying to tweak it for. Firefox is okay for it, since it only loads the tabs once you click on it. Maybe it's something people might be able to turn on/add to their existing browser... I only use Firefox, so not really sure how other ones do it.

I'm kind of the type of people who happens to refresh the site a few times a day just to check on new updates... Might need to tweak it a little bit higher ? xD °yeah I know sometimes I feel like a bot myself when I refresh the page 3 or 4 times in a row just... for no reason other than to make sure the cache is refreshed '-' °
