I think the problem is it's not animated. There's only so much you can show in a manga, so if you focus on the details of the fight, it takes foreeeeever to get through. Also the fighting montage pages are very confusing. This would be a lot easier to follow and a lot quicker and more interesting as an anime.

Well what can you say? It's a full chapter with only 17 pages and the author goes into exposition in between them fights. Not to mention how the whole fight sequence has always been "fight > retreat > 5min break > repeat"

i feel like that doesnt excuse how painful this is. and if they are having pacing problems at this point in the manga idk why they would want to make an anime out of this.

But even that isnt the root of the problem, theres no stakes here. theres nothing on the line other than 'lol tourney'. all we have is "rabbit girls seem bitchy, knight bros are dumbasses" and thats the motivation we have.

The entire premise of the story is that it's just a bunch of people having fun playing a video game. That's why this arc exists, because it's just more of them having fun playing a video game. It's not really any different from the rest of the series.

Ohhh I get the problem now. They are not really having much fun because they are playing to compete and not playing casual.

Also too much personal problem from Bianca-chan too. Now that I think about it, SLF is mostly pve, and the pvp part is always fun fair play between 2 people. Fun is not here yet sadly.
