Sensory-overload...I’m not blind but i do have the same problem. It’s the worse. Sometimes small sounds become equivalent to gun fire. Multiply that by 5 or 7 and you got what she is experiencing. Homecoming dance was hell for me as I had to go outside every so often just to stay sane. I even “whited out” (I didn’t faint but i was blinded) for a few seconds once.
