This has to be one of the stupidest naval operations ever depicted in fiction. Why on earth would a carrier group ever be close enough to its target that the ships are affected by the shockwaves of its missiles? Why fire an ICBM at close range like that? Ignoring the fact that that's not how an ICBM works at all, of course.
