Hm, mixed feelings about this one, from the 5 oneshots, this is around the middle. The story has potential, but there needs to be a few tweaks in my opinion. For once, the design of the transformation. It's certainly unique and stands out, but it just doesn't look cool. You don't have to make him into a cool bishie superhero type, but not a silly face in the middle of the chest of a chibi monster. The story for the oneshot was fine and would be alright as the first chapter of a series too, however sometimes the paneling was a bit confusing and the characters acted a bit weird at times. Like, we as the reader have absolutely no idea whether the other kids could see the chibi monster in his original form. Not a "they can't see him?" or a "What are you carrying that teddybear around?", nothing.
A slight improvement in the writing and a better design for the transformation and I can see this being a decent series. No Naruto, but just something neat for 2-3 years.
