@FrazeLarz nah, one of the key themes in this tale has been personal responsibility for ones actions. They slaughtered villages to find a hero. The princess always wanted to break the hero. The saintess just cranked the volume on that desire to eleven.

But then it turns out Christina is an alternate timeline version of Raoul's sister that is getting vengeance on him because her Raoul betrayed the people and became evil so she betrayed him first in this timeline but then it turns out that both Christina's and Raoul's souls are reincarnations of two gods that were cast down from the heavens and they both need to achieve the power only obtainable from the rage and vengeance derived from absolute betrayal and despair and the true target of vengeance is the gods themselves who will all be wiped out when Raoul and Christina merge together to start The Third Impact and eliminate most punctuation causing everything to be expressed in extremely long run-on sentences like this.
