Don't take her from the village, I will not allow it. With as much authority I can muster (which is 0).
If Lan lives in the village instead it would be much much better, but she'll have to earn the trust of the other villagers, and she will only have Lerunda to vouch for her. I can see something she can contribute: teach Lerunda human writing and magic. Maybe even the other kids too if they're curious. Knowing more than one language can never hurt.
Anyway, it seems her sister Alice is pretty two-faced after all. She's all sunshine outside but is a completely spoiled brat behind closed doors. I'm surprised the other humans still haven't realized she's just a fake with a pretty face.
