This day of admonishment reminds me to fukafuka dungeon, that manga also had higher power controlling weapons that allowed to be use. It is a world without magic so guns would be incredibly unfair and the best weapons they allowed to use was crossbow.

Also Megusa Kinz?? Really?? 😂

that has nothing to do with guns or skills. If there are 10 thousand people that want to commit a crime, they will commit the crime, be it with a gun, a skill, a knife, a rock, anything! They are just tools.
Yes, but relative to rocks and knives, guns make it much easier to harm or kill large numbers of people during the commission of crimes. I mean, 10 people with 10 good-size rocks can do a lot of damage, it's true. But 10 people with 10 full-auto rifles or SMGs can clear a hell of a lot of rock-wielders in no time flat. In terms of lethal efficiency, there's no comparison. This is why most modern armies prefer guns to rocks and knives.

What exactly do you think skills are? Are you even reading the manga? We have shown the existence of skills that would let one person kill the population of a whole city. what are you on about? Do you really think that skills are to guns the same thing that knives are? are you serious?

Such skills seem to be rare, and they can't simply be mass-manufactured and sold to whomever might want them. Therefore, it's reasonable to suggest that they pose less threat to the world than advanced weapons, which can.

Also, we don't know much about the World Tree's powers and limitations. Perhaps it controls skill misuse as it deems necessary.

Do you really think that skills are to guns the same thing that knives are?
No, and nothing I've said suggests they are. You're the one who proposed that all weapons are equal, saying, "f there are 10 thousand people that want to commit a crime, they will commit the crime, be it with a gun, a skill, a knife, a rock, anything!"

In response, I pointed out the difference between low-tech, low-power weapons (like rocks and knives) and powerful guns. The latter are far more lethal in the hands of criminals. That's why criminals like them so much.

1 - It's your assumption that such skills are rare. 2- You got in the middle of the conversation and is making wrong assumptions about what I said.

It is my assumption, yes, but it's supported by what we've seen so far.

And I understand your arguments quite well. You're under no obligation to respond to mine.

No, you don't understand. In a shallow summary, The other person said that guns existing would make more people commit crime. I said that, if someone wants to commit a crime, they will commit a crime no matter the tool. The amount of damage that each tool would enable the criminal to do was never part of my statement.

That doesn't matter. I'm not obligated to continue making @Forikorder's precise point. If you believe that my argument isn't germane, then you can simply ignore me.

I believe that it was perfectly reasonable, under the circumstances, for the World Tree to prevent the use of modern weapons. In that sense, both of my opening posts were responses to your first post in this thread:
So "the wicked" CAN'T have skills that can take many lives easily? That was kind of dumb.
Of course the wicked can have such skills. But from what we've seen, very few people do. Therefore, such skills are likely less dangerous, in the World Tree's view, than the mass-manufacture of modern weapons.

You read the first post and then read the last, and that's why what you are saying is wrong and doesn't make any sense for the conversation. You joined the conversation in the middle, and are making wrong assumptions because you don't even bother to get the whole context.

I've read all the posts in this thread and understand the the conversation you were having quite well. I'm explaining why the World Tree was not "dumb" in eliminating modern weapons.

The weak world setting got freaking turned upside down.

That explains why the lack of guns with 90s tech.

Now we need to know why being a guard is a death trap.
