It's not uncommon for monsters to have voices that don't reflect human gender norms in anime, usually for the sake of "You're a GIRL!?" gags when they assume human form. The fact they lose their human memories also makes Fenrir's gender unrelated to the source soul's.

I think gender is pretty relevant to the Fenrir role though because only women are chosen it seems. The forgetting their human life concept might be to help them get accustomed to their new role, maybe.
I wonder why only females are chosen for this role and why our mc is still half human and not a full wolf, add to that that she remembers her human life(although she didn't turn into a wolf, so maybe that is it).
Maybe I missed something, but has Fenrir passed on her role completely? I seem to have more or less forgotten if that was the fact or not, also, depending on which it is, Our mc summoning winter will be even more amazing.

It's nice to see a character call another out for expositing. While it's useful for informing the readers, putting undue emphasis on information that's already known to every person present, especially in a context like this where formality isn't necessary, would come off as kind of strange in-universe.
