Don't know yet about him since i just checked the WN, but i can spoil you on this fight... Silva beats the shit out of him, while holding back!
They go to a training ground and fight with wooden swords. Silva easily dodges all of Allen's attacks and counters him with just a punch, which he barely defends against using defensive magic. Silva throws away his sword saying he doesn't need it. Allen gets even more cocky but Silva easily dodges him and punches him with his elbow and sends him flying to the wall. He gets more angry and rushes Silva but he just grabs and body slams him into the ground. Then Silva goes to punch him on the ground but he barely dodges, and the held back punch breaks the training grounds. Allen panicks by seeing how strong Silva is, and uses his Ultimate skill, which absorbs his 2 girls mana. Silva is disgusted as he notices that his reason for wanting Charlie is just using her mana. He blocks and cancels the Ult, and then punches Allen sending him flying trough the whole area and again into a wall. The 2 girls are stunned and can't believe Allen lost while Charlie is very happy that Silva won. She then declares that as of this moment she is leaving their party!
Then a female Teacher enters and Silva doesn't recognize her as a game character. While he is surprised by that the Knight Commander enters and vouches for Silva that he is no Demon.
@Yukito00 im curious as well. Her name is Charlotte.. but is TL'ed as Charles in your scanlation.. so what exactly up?Hmm, i just noticed, in the WN the FMC is called "Charlotte" and nicknamed "Charl" by Silva. Why is she called "Charles" here? Is it a translation error or did they change it in the manga?
In a sense, it's easy then? Or the game timeline is short? What is this inconsistency? On one hand, he said the harem route is extremely difficult because you have to time well the confessions at the end of the game and if you get any of them mid-game, it's game over. However, on the other hand, he says that those two stooges are the easiest to conquer, and they even encourage the protagonist to take the harem route. This doesn't make any sense.
Hi. I looked up her name (シャルル) extensively, and it seems like it's always translated as "Charles". "Charlotte" in Japanese would be シャルロット, so yeah.@Yukito00 im curious as well. Her name is Charlotte.. but is TL'ed as Charles in your scanlation.. so what exactly up?
Wouldn't be the first time I'd seen a Japanese writer mistake a masculine name for a gender-neutral name.Hi. I looked up her name (シャルル) extensively, and it seems like it's always translated as "Charles". "Charlotte" in Japanese would be シャルロット, so yeah.
Yeah, that's what I think as well. As I said, シャルル is always translated as "Charles", but if it's a mistake on the part of the author, I guess I'll just change it.Wouldn't be the first time I'd seen a Japanese writer mistake a masculine name for a gender-neutral name.
Most relevant example is the main girl of Fate/Grand Order originally being named Matthew, which eventually officially became Mashu once the writer found out he'd fucked up and actually accepted it.
(As opposed to him doubling down and demanding all of the official localizers go with his nonsense name of Altria and not the Artoria that they'd already been using for 15+ years).
For what it's worth, Charlie is a perfectly fine nickname for a girl named Charlotte.Yeah, that's what I think as well. As I said, シャルル is always translated as "Charles", but if it's a mistake on the part of the author, I guess I'll just change it.
Yup, it's all too commonly either that or the author trying to loan a name, without realizing that they are either swapping the given name with either the surname or a hereditary middle name, or misusing the name altogether. Here, for example Charles and its variations are an extremely common royal name, so the author might have tried to loan the name for the highborn air, considering how we can see him gunning for the generic "western" fantasy setting (emphasis on the quotation marks). As another example, one other manga tried to use the surname "Ryti" (an extremely famous president's surname) as a sort of a dynastic name for a Finnish family business' corporate princess(???), without realizing how utterly goofy it all sounds. For what it's worth, Charlie is a perfectly fine nickname for a girl named Charlotte.
My guess is that she'd be Charlie if the writer had a better grasp on English names.
I think he meant more for the FULL harem of ALL the girls...those two are easily conquerable and would promote the harem...but there are probably some events in game where if you dont follow up with the other love interests then it all falls apart. Notice how these other two girls sort of a seemed a tad hurt that the "hero" forcefully used that soul bound technique...so the heros little harem will probably crumble. What is this inconsistency? On one hand, he said the harem route is extremely difficult because you have to time well the confessions at the end of the game and if you get any of them mid-game, it's game over.
