Well, I mean it's not the best thing you can get but whatever.
4 years ago, I watched this and I laughed so hard when he blows his hands because back then I know making gun is hard. But now, I think he could have done a lot better.
For example, they just briefly said that he had made many attempts, without further detail. It's not necessary to fill the powder to the top. You can load it light, optimize and hot. Hot load can be really strong, but also really dangerous to shoot and to be out on hot day, so one should get a strong action like bolt action. Optimize usually is with military ammo. Light load can be softer to shoot, longer ammo case longevity (for using the ammo case again multiple time).
That's just one thing he did wrong, he is also wrong in how to test it. If you aren't sure, hook a string to the trigger, and stay behind some cover.
And then which material does the ammo case made from? How thick is the cylinder? How thick is the hammer spring? How big is the firing pin? How hardness is the firing pin? How to prevent revolver from dropping discharge?

Yeah, author, gun otaku and stuff. Maybe he loves all the gun, but unless you learned like really hard on some technical package, figuring it out would take years.
