I knew Ippo lost this fight because I spoiled myself, but I didn't think it would go like this. I thought Guevara was going to be a beast, but he did not deserve to be in the ring with Ippo. While reading this fight, I thought Ippo was such an idiot for being so fixated on the new Dempsey Roll. But now I understand why he wanted to do it so badly. He wanted to show his coach one last thing before he hangs up his gloves. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. 😢

Man. This actually sucks. Holy shit. I want to stop reading. I don't want to consider any of Ippo's decisions making sense. At the very least he could have not thrown his comeback match he was easily dominating. How is losing like that showing gratitude to his coach? Is braindamage actually this OP? He deserves getting beaten and buried by Takamura for this disgraceful display.

not like Ippo can see the future. his only goal was to show off the improved Dempsey. everything else was just bad luck

What a tragic fight man I figured it wouldn't come back that easily and the fight was magical for showing that despite Ippo's best efforts, ultimately the main things he needed to work on which was defense and ensuring he wouldn't get hit so much didn't get totally fixed, and his performance recently has displayed that even more so.

You could see the punch drunkenness slowly creeping up to Ippo recently but especially during this fight what with forgetting some actions, still eating hits and the unexplained aggression, as well as his frenzied desire to show off the new Dempsey roll since he knew he was on borrowed time. Absolute tragedy that brings a tear to my eye.

Just a roller coaster of emotions I went from cheering during this fight to clutching my stomach in fear of what was to come as. I felt genuine dread as the fight progressed seeing how our boy fights and now I don't know what to expect from Ippo, but I can only hope he returns to the ring once Miyata eventually takes the world title.

Fuck man.... I was mad at him for it too thinking like "Stop spamming it man just win normally" only to realize this was his last time in the ring for Kamogawa.... All the signs where there too with Kumi's reaction does he want Ippo to win or lose this next match and she just goes silent.
