if anything, this is better... jabs are performed with the non-dominant hand which is realistically what you want to power up

@GoblinGuy. Makes sense to me that everyone could benefit from learning to use both hands. As a left handed person who is ambidextrous, as well, I find that while I can use most tools with either hand when it comes to needing sheer strength I favor my right but for finer precision and accuracy I still favor my left. Sure we can become able to use either, but you'll find one usually still performs just a little better with one or the other in most of those cases.
Most computer mice are usually placed on the right side which is fine for me but I find it strange at the same time. I mean that being able to write with my left while simultaneously using a mouse to move a cursor on the screen is the most efficient way of doing things to me. But right handed people awkwardly arrange things to so they can still use their right hand for both moving the mouse and writing and so wind up having to constantly switch between the mouse and writing tool. I would think that moving the mouse to the left side and learning to use it there or learning to write with their left hand would be better.

@need4speedrazor6 : Heck, unless you are using a shield, is should be on the non-dominant hand so you do not need to drop or regrip your weapon in your dominant hand ,since icking it up again, or getting a proper grip can take time. Plus if you are still holding a weapon that will be taking your opponents focus.

A gauntlet is not a proper primary weapon after all.

@sjmcc13 depends on the gauntlet's specs and abilities, the hero's abilities, and the world's rules.
maybe he's a hero who specializes in unarmed combat cause it's too hard to find more proper weapons that can endure his strength or just outright cause that's where his skills fall
and frankly, a lot of the "almost too OP" characters end up weaponless cause there's simply no point in carrying a weapon they'd have to replace after 1-2 fights, I can think of at least 10 series where the MC either prefers bare handed combat or just can't find a weapon that can endure the use they'd put it through, and a couple more where at least one major character constantly replaces their weapon for exactly that reason as well (MC doing that is admittedly pretty rare, upgrading existing gear and/or trading up, super common, but constantly grabbing anything between junk and mid tier weapons and making do with that and their innate skills, not so much)

pretty much sums it up, such a gauntlet is more of a gimmick in a fight, like a kick or a dagger you can grab when you've crossed swords and get in close. It's a powerful weapon, but not something that you can use primarily, and you can't use it in a way that it impairs your actual safe method of fighting.

@GoblinGuy

Surprisingly, I'm a left dominant guy that uses fork on my right hand... I find it easier and way more balance to eat that way.

being an acquired ambidextrous is truly hard... I became one due to I once injured my entire left arm and wrist... hell, I'm quite grateful to become ambidextrous since I work more efficiently now than ever. And I can flex my flexible work speed to my other mates hueheuehuehuehue... xD

@Reader1138
as someone who used to work typing on typewriters, I used to have a bad time being only left dominant but got over it since I slowly became ambidex. Even now in keyboard and such, I literally have no problem using left on the keyboard with my right focusing work on the mouse.
