God the Akiba kid. I feel bad for him, I really do. I didn't pick on the girl I liked in elementary school but I was more overtly silly in front of her. Nothing came of it but fortunately I never really had to contend with a rival, so I can look back on it a lot more fondly than the dread this kid is feeling of this girl he likes leaving his grasp, even if he doesn't really understand it yet.

For the life of me, I can't see a single reason to feel sorry for a bully. They never deserve to end up with anyone they bully. Akiba also deserves a good whipping for blaming the broken window on Koharuko. What a scummy little brat.

He didn't really pin it on her, it was his friends who initiated it, it was just him who had trouble saying his friends, who are trying to protect him, are lying and is totally understandable in the moment because he is still a kid and freaked out in the moment. He stopped bullying her after learning his lesson and even became a loner without blaming her even when if we take into account his previous actions, he would have definitely blamed her. HE IS GROWING UP AND LEARNING which is beautiful for a child and why you can't help but love him. That wife beater prediction is so off. Are you even reading the story?

@pinkeree We are just going to have to disagree. You sound like one of those Christian Japanese manga authors who feel that no criminal cannot be forgiven regardless how horrendous the crime. I think that you ought to change that, "you can't help but love him" to, "I can't help but love him" since I certainly don't and I am sure I am not alone. For instance, the majority of readers on otakumole who commented also did not love him but, rather, disliked him intensely.

@FredFriendly we already have disagreed because I just don't get how you can hate Akiba so much, but don't get me wrong there are plenty characters that I find unforgivable and should die, however I amount of hate towards that innocent little kid from you is just unfounded. I feel like you hold grudges for a long time for any reason. Otakumole is gone, so I can't really check you on that but I feel like that was a just a vocal minority since I cannot believe many people can hate that kid. Honestly! His blushing face is so cute!

I never in my life had a crush before but from the stories from my friends that did, ever since I was 11, I can say that they weren't idiotic enough to literally bully someone they like
and is it just me or am I shipping Akiba guy and rabbit girl just for the sake of it?

I also hate people like that "Ichigo Fanclub" he isn't unapprocble, his status and everything is the same as yours. Instead of looking there for afar like a coward go head on to him instead, look at her! she's doing it isn't she? if you even want a chance you have to try first! You can't just sabotage all the players in a race you aren't apart of, and except to win!
