the lady knight is quite erotic
She is a looker. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I coulda sworn someone who could read the originals mentioned she was a love interest for our hero? As far as I can tell the closest he came to love was with Lady Aidra, but since she passed away he probably has room in his heart for another and if this lady is going to be tagging along with the party for a while maybe that's an opportunity for sparks to fly :hearts:

It wasn't shown, but Bard must have explained when he asked for lodging, and truth be told... these people would not confronted them upfront, if at all, about the matter.

In the best of cases, they would say something to the authorities of the region, but best not provoke the "battle-hardened and armed strangers".
Oh, I'm sure the intention was that the conversation was off-screen and everything was fine. Just as presented in the manga it looked a bit sus.

Manga like Frieren but also unique on its own is very a wonderful read.
Note that I don't compare the two of them which is better but has a similar kind of feeling that what's an adventure is all about.

Anyway, thanks for the translate! :meguu:

So they see 2 and a half battle-hardened men walk into town with a woman slung over the shoulder like a sack of potatoes (Seriously, Bard, carry her properly) and decide to offer them lodging openly? lol

Gordon's a feudal lord and Bard was the Tersia family's head knight. They definitely have documents that aren't easily forged proving their identity. Not to mention they are also very well dressed compared to the average peasant, so the village head knows they're a big deal and most likely people of status. Also, the woman regained consciousness and could have easily said that she's fine before going back to sleep. As for offering them lodging openly, apparently it's a lot more common back in the medieval times than we would think and there are Youtube videos about this.

Right, he wasn't kidding when he said he'd "carry her"
