Maybe I don't understand women's perspective, or maybe such a thing doesn't even exist and it would be up to the individual, but from where I can see, Rai was acting like a total scumbag. He was basically boasting in front of the whole class how he had done this and that with a meek girl like Riku, who, as far as the classmates know, isn't going out with anyone. All that only to piss off another guy. Rai didn't give a single shit about Riku's feelings, he only cared about beating Fushimi in the imaginary battle inside his mind.

Maybe you could say it was basically nothing, just mouthing off about a date and sharing drinks, but when folks know how innocent Riku is, it's a far bigger deal for her than for a nanpa master like Rai, who has a date with a different girl every day of the week. It's even worse because Rai knows Riku likes Fushimi. So, he's basically, on purpose, making Riku feel unfaithful publicly. Is that how a decent guy behaves, huh?

But let me guess: Nobody will care about this at all. Maybe they will even think Rai is an awesome, resplendent gentleman after this escapade. That would be the shoujo genre for you.

Couldn't help lol at Fushimi's epic trip, and tiger Mom!! 😅
Also totally agree with Kaarme, Rai was super annoying, mannerless and basically too much this chapter.
Thank you for the release!

@Kaarme depends really. I had friends who did the same when we were teens, especially in front of the person that I like. Obviously to make them jealous (but these guys weren't into me so it is a different situation) and let me tell you I was shy. But it really did help.
Now, at 28, I don't take stuff like this serious anymore. It's childish behaviour. Unfortunately I don't think the MC would make a move if he isn't provoked (so this is the stereotypical purpose of a second lead).
And to be honest I rather like them blunt and straight forward than not doing anything at all. I know how shyness can come off as rude behaviour (been there myself) but not doing anything, waiting for a miricale to happen is just a waste of time.
And a lot of guys like Rai are pretty effin weak inside and only acting like they are hot shots. When the right girl comes along they become like tiny clingy puppies.
So yeah as an old lady I kind of don't take these things seriously anymore. People behave werid when they are unsure/not confident . What matters is how honest they are and how pure their intentions with a person are, the past/their past actions shouldn't really matter.

@r_amiza Yeah. That comment of mine was written in the heat of the moment. I don't like triangles, especially when a womaniser, like Rai, is involved, so I easily go overboard. For fairness's sake Rai has his own issues to deal with, but I still don't like his attitude. Publicly drawing other people into one's own issues is only something elementary school age kids should be doing knowingly, not decent high schoolers anymore.
