"The user of the Sheep Talisman gains the power of astral projection, the ability to eject their soul from the body and wander around as a spirit. In this form, one is invisible (to humans), inaudible (to humans), is able to fly, pass through walls, and enter a person's dreams (where one can be seen and heard)."

Wow JCA is the least expected reference I have ever seen so far.

What’s next? Xiaolin Showdown? Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi? Mucha Lucha?

Did not expect a doujinshi to break the news to me about the Act Age scandal, holy sh*t.

@cromat Keep up the good work and the pop culture references. Reading this leaves me feeling a mix of horror, delight, and nostalgia.

I don't even need to read that manga to know or state that in the general sense, nuking-level cancel culture is R E T A R D E D.

@Lithe

But this has nothing to do with cancel culture. He was literally caught in the act of sexual harassment.

@xyzzy My impression was that they were trying to effectively scrub themselves of his work, though I admit I didn't look that deeply into a manga that I don't read. But as far as my judgments are concerned, anything beyond placing the series on indefinite hiatus is an overreaction that creeps closer and closer to the 'nuking' descriptor. At least wait until the official judgment is handed down; anything before strikes me as too preemptive.

The author himself admitted that they were “not wrong” about the situation when they arrested him.

Matsuki reportedly told police "there's generally nothing incorrect" with their accusations.

You said it yourself - you don’t even read the manga. Why are you defending a person who was caught in the act?

@xyzzy I'm simply more distrustful of the news lately. At the very least, I typically withhold most judgments nowadays. Keep in mind that him saying that is what you were told, not what you saw or could confirm yourself. Whether you believe it is up to you, but clearly I don't necessarily believe (nor doubt) everything I read or hear.

I should probably add that I don't care for 'jumping to conclusions' anyhow, though I would make exceptions when the right conclusion is jumped to, and to determine whether it is right is a rather convoluted process anyway....but alas, that seems to be the human-societal condition.
