Not really. Nobles' bodies were generally treated as inviolate, so long as they did not attempt to fight back (struggling under bond is not fighting back) and surrendered; in fact they were often afforded very good conditions on capture. The problem here for him is that they specifically set everything up to take advantage of the arena to smear the shitty prince into the ground (and Seigren took that thought literally, hahahahaha).

As I said on a previous chapter (the one where he releases it), it looks like he's all bound up in that same negative energy, so I think he's being manipulated just as much as the monsters from the dead lands are, by that cursed energy.

The darkness effect isn't contagious and every human that came into contact with it has been immediate death of the victim or for the one existing survivor, have lasting effect.

Your implication that this clown somehow came into contact with such energy, survived AND somehow none of the 3 people who's had interaction with darkness-influenced beast doesn't notice anything off about him is...yeah...no.

He's had the same dark swirls around him that others under the influence of that dark magic crap have had whenever they're being influenced, though, but only recently.

Until you can point me to where he has gained some super power like all the other darkness influenced monsters, it's more likely to just be dramatic effect much like how character might show animal ears when they act like one but it doesn't mean they're actually beast people, or flowers in romantic scenes (one exception aside)
