End game is either Karin or harem, and I'm leaning towards the former. Karin is leading by so much in terms of screen time and progress, which makes me believe that the other four have no goddamn chance as sole winners.

I'm hoping for harem/poly, but I don't see it honestly. All the main 5 are (as of right now) more or less fetishizing an aspect of Mei, whereas childhood friend (don't remember her name) says she loves Mei more than anyone in the world (I'm guessing her boyfriend is similar to the Fire Sisters' from Monogatari). Just kind of the vibe I get from developments so far, considering deep down Mei seems to actually want a romance, and this whole situation has to be highly overwhelming for someone as inexperienced as she is. So for me it seems more like childhood friend/poly as most likely outcomes.

I might be misremembering, but Kaoru, Karin and Minato are all senpais to Mei, right? If things drag on, it'll be interesting to see how things change when they graduate. I'd say of the 5, if it's not some kind of poly ending then Riri is in pole position (same age and whatnot). Though she is a model who seemingly has no issues showing off her body for pictures, which i could easily see giving Mei some angst down the line. I think in terms of a committed relationship, they all have what could be serious "red flags" especially for someone like Mei.

Riri - has the vibe of a typical naive NTR story heroine ("oh my God, is this what xxx feels like?" cue descent into debauchery and infidelity)
Minato - has already admitted (to the audience anyway) that she likes Karin's voice and is a natural "prince"/playgirl.
Karin - is deep down a flirty gal and has past history with Maria (whether it ended up as them sleeping together is unknown as of yet)
Maria - sucker for a pretty face, and see point above.
Kaoru - wants to live abroad at some point and long distance relationships are notoriously tricky.
Honestly if it's not poly somehow then it seems like it'll be the bog standard "maintain the status quo and everything is up in the air" ending as of right now. Which would be a damn shame.

Ye. But I don't see the senpais leaving the fight because they graduate. Maria is still in the fight and she's a working adult. Sure she works at the university, but you could come up with a million ways to drag Mei out to one of the senpai's workplace, or they could just hang out and get frisky. But that said, Riri is never gonna be the end game imo. She's might be my favourite, but I have no faith in her being a sole winner. She's losing really hard in terms of screen time and progress.

I truly, deeply hope not. By far the most frustrating, least satisfying ending to any romance story, for me. Hell, I'd even take a "out of nowhere here's the actual love interest" over no resolution. Keeping my fingers crossed for this series to avoid that kind of calamity.

Nah same lol. I'm not a fan of harem or poly endings and I hope that there's a sole winner, but a status quo ending would be the true monkey's paw ending.
