Remember reading this a good long time ago on Mangafox, an oldie but a goodie.

Interesting way to tackle the cycle of abuse and self hatred, but at least Rika was able to escape it.

Wow this was a great short story.
I've always dismissed 90's manga as having bad art and basic stories, but this manga has proven me wrong on both counts.
I wish I had discovered this gem sooner.

There are quite a few god old manga. If you want to go very old Phoenix by tezuka is quite fun, though pulpy, Yoshihiro Tatsumi has good adult-oriented manga as well (adult as in mature, not porn, though sometimes they talk about sex), Sabu to Ichi Torimono Hikae is fun and action packed. Wolf and the cub is a classic.

I can recommend you to also let mangadex show you every language for chapter, so that you get more diversity in the "Latest updates section as some other languages are catching up to some finished manga that would not pop up in this section.
Or remind you that a manga that was dropped by the English team long ago still exists but this one hurts

It was a tough read early on, with the innocent, earnest child being treated like that... I don't know, the story gave me mixed feelings, but I guess this kind of reasoning ultimately helped her to move on.
