I'm guessing that the shadow being had to act and isekaied the idiot to MC original world, reverted all his chanegs and of cours ein MC world there is no paranormal energy, hence he can't feel any.
Even if he didn't and that is just a illusion room the books are probably the usual, and only MC is able to give the right one to the right customer, or the shadow being chanegs the content, so of course this guy is not gonna get a good one, unfortunately the book title wasn't translated, but we judge from the cover in this house, and that thing will break this dude.
Shadow being is probably trying to keep his power restricted or is limited to the room, Buck could be morphed into a monster and sent outside the store to attack everyone.
Anyway his plan was already a fail because I doubt he would be able to find something wrong in a book written in a otherworldly language.

To be more accurate they put a bounty on the priest. The intention was to kill the priest, but even if they fail they will tire him out and relay information of his location. But the moment he entered the bookstore, things changed as they are all canon fodder. So the death guy was sent with God power. Now their role is mostly being cannon fodder that blocks anyone from escaping.

Nah, he got trapped in Lin Jie's domain in the Dream realm, he can't do anything or feel ether due to MC not permitting him to do so. He'll probably be able to read the books but will go insane due to the overload.

As long as UTOON and RiohanLibert holds monolopy with the latest raws of this Manhua, there will be no such thing as "faster upload" for the public, and their latest scanlated chapter would probably be held behind the paywall on their website.
