I will (re-)write a longer, more descriptive post in a few hours. I accidentally pushed the follow button on the manga I was using as an example, and got very confused and deleted a much more detailed post. Currently looking for another manga that was recently updated that I followed via bato.to, so I can show it missing in latest-updates.
The basics of the problem are
Imported manga show up in
Follows->Manga->All
They do not show up in
Follows->Latest Updates
Follows->Manga->Reading
And the Manga page, eg https://mangadex.org/manga/19203/kuzumi-kun-kuuki-yometemasu-ka still has the "Follow" button, ie. it's not marked as reading.
I will come back and put in a better description of the problem with image examples after I have calmed myself down a bit. As I kept no copies of the original post and must re-write it.
