Also he didn't beat the A-Ranker, just disarmed them by catching them off guard. If the fight would have continued the A-Rank would have beaten him due to superior combat experience, of which the MC has ZERO.

I really liked how the author used the item box skill for combat in a way that is rarely seen. It shows creativity by both the writer and the MC. It wasn't just about the storing and taking out, but about using it to offset the disadvantage of a large swing from a heavy weapon, and allowing him to move quickly.

I also loved the "except when I fail" line, as it shows confidence, humor, and a willingness to not take herself too seriously.

@blablablub I'm not a meme guy, but "I understood that reference" (and have used it so many times in real life with friends).

Honestly I've always found the letter grades odd. Namely because it implies the country uses the english or a language very similar to it. This almost always contradicts with the world building when the MC goes to "learn" the native languages. There would also a translation issue for the other natives on the world, unless they all share a single common language.

So no, the letter system does not in fact work. Numbers might be acceptable, but colors or metal types would be easiest to understand and recognize(even by other races and nations) as they are visual representations and not based on a specific language.

I can't remember the name of it, but there was one manga I liked about a guy using his item box by putting a bunch of vehicles and heavy objects in it and then dropping it on monsters to squash them. It was something about waking up in a world full of monsters.

@Miserys_End the letters could just the way the mc see's the letter as often the language is overlaid with whatever the mc's language, but I do see your point on how letters of the english or japanese alphabet would break the immersion.
Though I believe the it merely the author's whim to write the grading system like that as it is similar to what people who read similar works would know and therefore not confuse the readers with a new grading system. Though colour or metal types would definitely make more sense.

With his strength i would go for a nodachi or a powerful bow or anything with high firepower and low agility since he clearly has the strength to wave it around like a twig
Honestly if i was transported to another world with a single wish i would wish for imortality (not the not aging kind but the not dying) so that i could go around and collect and research weapons martial arts and weapon history, maybe even learn and master blacksmithing, cooking and maybe even learn to talk to people naturally, go sightseeing, write a diary and or documentation of the history of the world as empires rise and fall and new technology is invented and basicly learn and master every profession and maybe even go undercover and live as a knight, adventurer, blacksmith or anything that sounds fun at the time
Ofcourse there will come a time where i have seen everything, i have learned every profession, i have eaten every dish, i have collected countless items, i have seen countless countries form and then fall, i have encountered countless people and have made too many friends that have died, i would have nothing to do in life anymore right?

I could adopt and train a hero or a demon lord
I could make a kingdom that i could run
I could establish a guild
I could try and get married
I could become a hero that helps tons of people and then disapear mysteriously and listen to people tell legends and myths about me for years to come
I could become a demon lord and act scary and give humanity empty minor threats like saying i will kill all humans but then barely doing anything and when a hero rises up and attempts to defeat me i would pretend to die so that i can entertain myself with the adventure of a true hero from start to end ofcourse since i wrote all of it down while stalking him/her
I could also form attempt to form the landscapes to look magnificent like the abyss in made in abyss being a dungeon
I could also crossdress and cosplay as characters i still remember from manga, anime or games if i dont habe access to that anymore, i would most likely do this after the arrival, i would even make my own clothes in amazing quality since i would have mastered the art of making clothes
I could become worshipped as a deity or maybe just become a countrys guardian deity
I could make incredible art and maybe even carve out beautiful structures and pieces of art out of mountains even if it takes hundreds of years
I could try and become high nobles in every country existing at the time
I could attempt to create modern technology and perhaps even experiment with how the world works
I could collect every single book and make an incredibly huge and powerful library
I could also instead of doing all of these thing i could just stay somewhere and stay indoors and nap for hundreds of years
I could create a dungeon with impressive treasures and challenges for adventurers to challenge and beat and watch them all grow and learn while i sit in the last room waiting for powerful individuals to fight me and perhaps kill me
I expect after living so long the fear of death would fade even though being immortal, i believe being immortal could be incredibly fun and interesting but since the sadness of losing friends and loved ones is included in being the only one who is immortal it might be wiser to not to make too many friends or maybe you would become numb to it over time, anyway
There are so many things to do, to learn and to experience that it would probably take over 100.000 years before you start to perhaps get bored

Being imortal ( with or without being able to age ) has a lot of both up and downsides just like you said.
That said with infinite time there is infinite possibilities for you to go insane or worse.
Humans are social creatures and it's impossible for us to be mentaly and physically healthy unless we have at least some people to associate with, so avoiding people is not an option.
( being isolated can actually make you sick, not just mentaly)
Its likely you would never ever get bored as there is enough people in the world making literature and inventing new things for you to ever run out of things to do.
It might keep you from going bonkers for awhile but it's highly likely that eventually madness is going to claim you.
