Probably because as strong as he is, if the Demon Lord marched his entire army in the MC who was having trouble beating this little girl would stand no chance. Also, he is a good person, I guess

tho was his plant magic able to 'drain' all her mana b/c he was overpowered from the gods or simply because she was just some weak brat who wanted to play around more than train to be a 'proper' lord

She seemed at least fairly powerful. Hard to know what the power level of the world is, but I don't got the impression she was weak.
