Boy, don't you just love it when people are written as retards for the sake of drama?
To be fair, the other group has been living lord of the flies, while theyve been enjoying an island paradise. Youd be pissed too if you were starving and pulled up to them acting like its a game"We have the means to solve all of your problems, and will give them to you, for free. There are no downsides or catches."
"fUcK yOu!!!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"

Reito is the only one who stands to lose from going along with it.If only those "retards" didn't have direct allegories in real life that would do much the same when their pride and or powerbase is challenged...
Why would I be pissed? To be fair, the other group has been living lord of the flies, while theyve been enjoying an island paradise. Youd be pissed too if you were starving and pulled up to them acting like its a game
Mark spoilers for too accurate predictions pleaseaaand we are going to see him crumble because of a witness and soon he will claim he is innocent and threating everyone with that gun. he will then die because he accidentically shots his penis off which is impressive since it must be smaller than a pea.
Manga seems to want to go for a more "realistic" approach when none of this was realistic in the first placeThat happened! That's way better!
I don't think so, but we've never got an apology from the Allies' crimes nor from what has been done to the Palestine bros.Holy shit. Is the author trying to do a thinly veiled apologist analogy of Imperial Japan vs the US in WW2?
Nah, you have it completely backwards. The other students have been living a Lord of the Flies remake because of their inept leadership and pride. It was their choice to kill the adults when they found them, just as it was their choice to allow the sexual predation of those without the will to resist. To be fair, the other group has been living lord of the flies, while theyve been enjoying an island paradise. Not arguing about how stupidity of the plot, only that it's reflected of people IRLReito is the only one who stands to lose from going along with it.
Everyone else is being offered a Get Out Of All Your Problems Free card, and they're refusing to take it for... Legitimately no reason.
I can get why they might be suspicious of such a good offer at first, but they have no reason to outright reject it, like they're doing.
No reason other than the plot demands it, that is.
See, I glazed over that point before, because I quite frankly thought it was extremely silly. Not arguing about how stupidity of the plot, only that it's reflected of people IRL
O . o;See, I glazed over that point before, because I quite frankly thought it was extremely silly.
But are you really saying that this Japanese ecchi isekai manga is making deliberate allusions to IRL American politics?
You cant blame the group as a whole in this situation. They were manipulated by Reito and his brother and forced to follow along with their survival plan. Its easy to say you just wouldnt submit to them but in reality, not a lot of ppl are gonna have the skills or mental fortitude to survive a deserted island on their own, let alone the ability to go against a charismatic leader.Nah, you have it completely backwards. So no, they have no right to be angry that someone built a settlement while they descended into debauchery and murder.
Yes, yes I can. They didn't make much of a stink when the brother shot the Gym teacher dead, and then practically cheered when told they were allowed to have their way with the women. Not to mention letting half their population die to sickness and starvation while the brothers ate well in comfort. Sure most of the blame does fall of the leader's neck, but following orders is not the shield or excuse you make it out to be.You cant blame the group as a whole in this situation. It's not that I don't see your point, I just don't think it matters. Reito rules thrue threats and deception. True his cohort is desperate and angry, but the lies will be exposed and they will be allowed join the other students in the village. And all it will take is Hokage stepping up and defeating Reito in the inevitable clash in the next however many chapters. Not exactly a logical way to handle the situation, but manga logic --rarely-- complies with reality. Its not a simple matter of welcoming them with open arms, Hokages group has revealed they were aware of the other group and the act their putting on is literally playing in their faces. Reito's group is in full survival fight mode rn; there's no way treating them like fools was gonna go over well. Itd be weirder if they did just brush off everything they've been through for a couple of amenities.
Easy to yap from behind a couch, no this is portrayed pretty realistically, we have plenty of real life examples, it's a known fact people often act in the way that would hurt people they dislike instead of making their own lives better.Reito is the only one who stands to lose from going along with it.

Why would I be pissed?
I'd get on my knees and offer my undying gratitude. I'd think God answered all my prayers.
I mean, to be totally fair, I wouldn't be following Reito in the first place, but still.
