Hmmmmm, I mean I think I get what the author was trying to go for?
but Haikyuu does it better in the way that even though you know they're the "bad guys", you don't hate their guts and still cheer them on because they have relatable motivations on wanting to win.
This one, I genuinely hate the rival characters cuz it's like they live to see others fail
