pretty cool! doesnt make sense since she shouldnt have any training with memories sealed when small child but cool. maybe the power is just genetic.

Has it been shown when her memories were sealed? Samura could have taught her if the seal was placed a few years prior.
this is true, the most vivid memory we got a few chapters ago, she looks around 5-6

Does this story go anywhere? Dropped it around that auction thing.
Sooo boring. Not good for an action manga.

What exactly are you looking for in a story? I guess if you're looking for fights that last for multiple chapters, then this story wouldn't be for you. Otherwise, I quite like the characters, world building, and plot so far.

Wondering if this makes her reconsider the seal.
Certainly will. "An ordinary person's scream... led her to the answer. The desire to protect that ordinary life."

At minimum, she wants to learn how to fight (more than she already seems to remember now) to be able to protect people like Ikura. It's also possible that she wants to keep that ordinary life for herself, so the goal would be to continue going to school while being strong enough to protect that life herself. However it plays out, she wouldn't want the seal.

Uniqueness, I guess. Stories like Kagurabachi just bore me. Nothing new, everything has been done already. And better too.
Funny that you imply I read manga only for fighting scenes, because Kagurabachi has way too much fighting for my taste. Worldbuilding, humor and character relationships would be great. But maybe too much to ask from a generic fighting shounen.

I assumed you were looking for more action because, well, you said "Not good for an action manga."

But I'd agree that, in the history of manga, Kagurabachi isn't very unique. It's another action shounen among the sea of action shounen, and I never expected it to wow me with uniqueness. But I do like the style it has going on, and I'm a fan of the drip-feed style of world building; whenever we're told something, it feels immediately pertinent and natural for it to come up. Reflecting on things, I guess characters also aren't super developed either; it's more that a good chunk have loud personality quirks.

I still like it for what it is, but yeah, it doesn't sound like you should bother with it. Nothing has significantly changed about the story that would make it more to your tastes.

wait what... that was totally not in my equation, but yeah, I admit overlooking this possibilities. This could totally solve the problem I have.
I see the direction that she will not abandon her memories anymore, but she'll then become a damsel in distress Chihiro's gang having to drag along forever after and that's a big problem for the plot. Also I think the plot thread author is spinning about what's Samura opinion on his daughter is interesting, but I just can't see how we can have time to explore it before her memory is sealed again and now the option is open.

It's not totally groundbreaking subversion, but having one that can escape my analysis with all the red herring he played is always a welcome one.

I expected some kind of stupid plot twist considering this series is nothing but dumb asspulls, but her just magically becoming a master swordsman because some cringe guy from her school showed up? Possibly one of the dumbest power-ups I've seen in a while.
Come on, give author a bit more chance. I agree that if she becomes a master swordswoman all of a sudden, then that's a complete ass-pulled BS. Let's see how far she can go next chapter. I'd expect her to just pull off this safe and quickly lose ground, but that split second would allow the Masumi to swoop in. Defeating a few goons is probably the most I'll tolerate.

But wait...
I'd expect her to just be able to defend herself against low level goon and that would mean she'll have to train...

...along side Chihiro then? :thonk:
Are we getting a Female lead revealed?! :pepehmm:

never liked that iori just had complete 360 bs.. i kinda wanted the ninja to protect the guy being roughed and dramatically pass the key and go back to being student(maybe being cliche is better here) but who knows maybe takeru is cooking with this one.

In before the seal was to keep other people safe from her murdering anyone who bad mouthed her father.
also for everyone complaining about her sudden skills, children in samurai families were often trained as young as 5 and even sent out to the battlefield by the age of 13. We don’t even know when her memories were sealed.

He's far away from a prince on a white horse but he did a good job enough to awaken the princess to her badass persona.

Now whether her daddy will approve is another issue :chad:

looks like aura farming is Samura Family innate talent. next we'll find out that the actual reason Samura put a seal on his daughter is because he knew she has the potential to be stronger than him.

Well pretty sure their magic power is hereditary. I mean that's how it usually is in most stories. And she could have learned sword skills before the seal. The people she's fighting are throwaway thugs, so it doesn't take much to look cool there.
