Because she played one in the game, she knows the role better than, say, attack mage or fighter.
It's pretty much a safe choice given how far this world stretches reality to include all the game elements she knows.

It's easy to miss though, as she just mentioned that once on page 13.

Prince of said kingdom rejected a combat bride in favor of a support one.
With the excuse being that a support queen will have a better reputation.
Two chapters in and there are already inconsistencies. Not a breaking one at this stage, but still...

I mean… isn’t that just the Prince’s excuse because he wants to big the hit healer chick? I didn’t get the impression he was honestly concerned about reputation or doing it for any noble reason at all.
