I feel a disconnect between Chapter 72 and the flashback in this one. In Chapter 72, Takeru insists he doesn’t want to break up because he loves Kaori, but here, he seems completely resigned, simply thanking her for everything. It’s strange and gave me a strong sense of a retcon.

Thanks for the chapter!

Here are some comments from the Japanese public on the Weekly Shōnen Magazine app:

女優さんに何らかのトラブル発生からカオリさんAVデヴュー希望
つうかカギしろよ母ちゃん

Due to some trouble involving the actress, Kaori-san now wants to debut in AV.
Seriously, Mom, lock the door!

Hey, heroine, you're aiming to become an idol, right?
What are you doing?

8YVLtIa.png

If next time it's like, 'Here’s today’s male actor, Hidaka-kun!', that would be amazing.

aYvNwPF.png

You can't undo the fact that you cheated, so Hidaka shouldn't give up and needs to keep expressing his feelings.

Even if it's family, why would you just open the bathroom door while someone's in there? I can’t help but think there’s something fundamentally off with that person.

HZqoibA.png

Finally, a job? I wonder if she hasn't told her family about it.

4wa4Cap.png

Did you open the door even though Mom was in the bathroom?

908tQ80.png

Kaori sleeping with her nipples exposed
Mom brushing her teeth while on the toilet
Opening the bathroom door to say 'I’m off'
There are so many things to point out that it's just incomprehensible, haha.

B2fEXQ2.png

Finally making her debut, huh?

TfMrjb5.png

Is she not an actress but rather some kind of staff on the set?
And do you really need to open the bathroom door just to say 'I’m off'?

WNcyzGv.png

It looks like the actress suddenly got her period, so it’s a 'please step in, Kaori-san' situation.

zUtDcJZ.png

What exactly is this manga aiming for?

V6EUtnc.png

So he were easily rejected afterward, huh? Haha.

R9GTcC0.png

The attitude when rejecting someone with glasses is annoying too.

rwhmNHu.png

Is working behind the scenes in AV really necessary for becoming an idol?

nliIN2v.png

In the opening scene where they wake up, even though she’s wearing a shirt under her pajamas, there’s seaweed stuck to it...
Is this a way to cater to younger readers, like elementary and middle school kids, by saying it’s for 'B-areas'?

3jR6BV8.png

Nothing happened, and the episode ended.

wbzD8Nq.png

If you're going to be an idol, even if you're just staff, the public won't know about it, and it will only be troublesome if it gets exposed.

They're talking about the girl who was introduced as the actress.

Anyone read the raws that can just drop the spoilers on me? I'm still not sure if I should drop this or not.
Kaori is shadowing staff at multiple shoots. She passes out the first time she's actually on set during filming, and most recently she was at a shoot with a rough rape theme that she doesn't seem to have felt great about.

I don't read Japanese so I could be missing some context.

Still waiting to see how this will help her idol dream. Also JP readers are right, who would open the toilet door just to say they are going out.

Edit: For more details, check: Clarification and Apology for Misinformation.

Actually, the most recent filming was initially set to be a 'normal gangbang,' but without informing the actress, the head producer changed it to a rough one, effectively making it a real rape. In chapter 87, when the actress reads the script, she complains about the number of blowjobs, but the director insists it was outlined in the contract she signed. Keep in mind that AV contracts are supposed to specify what will be filmed and how, ensuring informed consent. In chapter 88, we see the actress is understandably furious with the head of production after filming. The script change violated her contract, stripping away her informed consent and turning the shoot into rape. And Kaori? While she expresses some concern that the filming was too rough, after talking to Saori, she brushes it off as a valuable lesson in working hard and giving your best effort. Honestly, I have no idea what the author was on when writing these chapters, but it seems her editor must have been on the same page to approve this. I posted a full rant about chapters 87-89 in the general manga thread if you're interested in checking it out.

Yeah, I kind of got that impression from how Saori was acting and how Kaori responded. I didn't realize that that whole thing was unplanned though. Yeesh the author sure isn't afraid to play with fire.

It’s more likely that the author, with her hentai artist mindset, didn’t fully grasp what she was doing. While she introduced realism with the contract element, she must not have realized the consequences—she is a terrible writer.

Just read the spoiler and rant and wow... There are some mangas where the writing is fun trainwreck but this shit is devolving into kind of crap that only JUM would even bother translating. Thanks for the info, seems like there's no point in wasting time to read it anymore.

Fellow Readers,

I want to apologize for the misinformation due to a mistranslation.

The version I read was a Spanish translation by Bokugen Translation. In chapter 88, after the filming ends and the actress gets upset with Sumita (the producer), Bokugen translated her line as "Esta idea... fue tuya, ¿verdad?" which means "This idea... was yours, right?" However, the original Japanese text reads "この企画・・・あんたが 考えたん でしょ?" and is more accurately translated as "This project... You thought of it, didn't you?" The term "企画" (kikaku) translates to "plan," "project," or "proposal," depending on the context.

Bokugen's translation of "This idea... was yours, right?" along with the actress's reaction led me to believe she was upset with Sumita for changing the script without informing her. The phrase "This idea" suggested that the issue was something spontaneous rather than part of the original script. In reality, though it might seem odd, the actress is upset with Sumita over the script itself, which she had agreed to when signing the contract. To clarify, no rape took place.

My only criticism remains Kaori’s dialogue with Saori. Kaori, who aspires to be an idol, views this hardcore AV footage as an educational experience—a valuable lesson in working hard and giving your best effort. Aside from being an issue in its own right, this perspective is puzzling because the AV industry presents significant risks to one’s public image and career prospects, especially for someone in the idol industry, where maintaining a pristine image is essential. It seems unrealistic for Kaori to derive such positive lessons from an environment that could jeopardize her future career. The portrayal feels contrived, as this romanticization of the AV industry as a microcosm of the entertainment industry overlooks the serious implications for someone with her aspirations and could have been better explored in a more fitting context.

Once again, I apologize for any confusion caused by my misinterpretation due to the mistranslation. I appreciate your understanding as I clarify this matter.
