@Kocheng102 not sure if it's a spoiler since it happened in this chapter but
he's actually a masochist. nanako thought that he wasn't because of his manga so she made him abuse her thinking that was the way to be useful to him due to how her mom always dismissed her. it was stressful for him to act that way so mamoru helps him be his masochist self. nanako breaks up with him after finding that out saying they cant be happy together and she was forcing him.
