I think this proves that Rin was right when she told Haruto that he settled with Asuka.
When he was involved with Asuka he remembered Kanzaki's birthday pretty easily, while with Yuzuki it didnt even cross his mind.
I think he never really loved Asuka, not really.
At least, not nearly as much as Yuzuki.
