Ex didn't falter when the king found out (and they didn't pursue it further?!) and Maria turns out not to be the usual annoying and whiny white lotus, instead she's quite level-headed. Girl just wants to capture the hidden character (the butler) and I can appreciate the hustle lol. Though her calmness also makes her still suspicious, god knows what she's thinking, I feel like the king is the scariest person here lol.

Two small issues I saw:

Page 14 makes reference to "the hidden character's butler" (or in other words, "the butler of the hidden character"), but page 27 states that Beris (the butler) is the hidden character. Secondly, the first use of Beris on that page is Belis, so that would need to be changed for consistency.

I wouldn't say it's refreshing, but it's different from the usual reincarnated heroine becoming evil and aiming for the reverse-harem route.

The King is being very rational, I think, as a leader of a nation should. Given the knowledge about the world and Charm Magic that the Heroine has, it makes sense to try to make use of her if possible, while being ready to eliminate her if she shows signs of turning against the kingdom.
Though I’d like to know how he figured it all out; is he just that perceptive, or are there records of previous Reincarnators hidden away in secret Royal Archives?

I'm with everyone here, I also dig the heroine. I like that she wasn't some vindictive rat, like in 'the one within the villainess', she was just a no nonsense person who was getting what she wanted.
Though I will say, if she had any brains, she'd have just become a maid at the duke's house and then tried to get to the butler that way, rather than all this harem shenanigans.

I suspect that she was trying to follow whatever route was in the otome game. Then again, there's practically no information mentioned regarding the butler's route, so I'm just spitballing here.
