Don't be afraid of the gym, folks. Obviously, you can get pretty far health-wise doing bodyweight exercises at home and doing laps around the yard or through the neighborhood. But there's a lot of friendly folks in the institutions who are happy to help you learn the ropes of gym etiquette and machine use. We've all been there, myself included. Don't expect them to be your personal trainer for free, but having a workout buddy might be just the thing you need to be consistent.
