It's less about not feeling something and more about not being posessive, and thats why I like this manga so much, they approach it from the very start and manage their closeness very well. I've never had such perfect match as depicted here so yes I think I would want more than sex, but from my experience when you get in this kind of sex friend arrangement you have a feel that some things would not be aligned well enough to be a long term couple, so you just stick to it while it feels convenient or confortable. And if you ever get into this situation being a person that is somewhat jealous, never ask too much :V
But again, they are way too good together in this, so I think it would be tough to not get too involved if I felt the same as they do here haha

They do like/love each other though, A LOT. Both of them are always on each other's minds. It's just that they've been through some seriously bad relationships that they have no intention of going back to being exclusive bf/gf again anytime soon, and it's both sided too, if it was just one of them who didn't want a relationship it would be fucked. At the end, they're both very happy with the status quo and so have no want to progress further. You can see that in their personalities, it's not just relationships, both of them don't want to progress in their professional careers either, even when it would make sense and give them a big raise, she has been a part time waitress since HS but refuses to become a full time employee, he only works remotely despite having the chance to get a raise as a full time employee, he could've been in a big band but refused and neither of them have any regrets about it either.
It's not like I don't understand. I'm also a person who tends to be super anxious about changing status quo and would rather have things continue as they have since they're comfortable even if the change would be positive.
