Presumably, threats were made against her father to ensure compliance. Now that particular 'family' has been cut out of dealings with the court entirely, MaoMao not only does not have anyone keeping her there, as a supposed member of the merchant family she's also supposed to be kicked out.

@Mingxingxing Also, depending on the level of castration, if it's just the testes, which is most common, then many are still capable of an erection and orgasm.
