Definitely a surprise to see this more mature(ish) tone taken in this chapter. Personally, I really liked it. Really made me question my moral principles and whatever terms people use to say, "It made me think and that's deep/relatable."

Overall, I liked Volume 1 and I wonder what will await me in Volume 2 once I get around to it.

Fuck this was a surprisingly accurate account of how dysphoria feels even in the minor, day-to-day occurances. It even followed it up with a pair if pretty accurate accounts if transphobia. The conversation You's co-workers were having is something that I've overheard my uncle say almost word of word.

I am genuinely impressed and surprised that this stupid, silly ecchi series was able to be more tactful and honest about this than just about anything else I've seen.

There are TGTF manga that feel like the mangaka has never heard of trans people and is independently imagining the concept from scratch, and there are TGTF manga that are very informed about trans people/are written from a more personal place. This manga has felt like the former type right up until this chapter. The difference is enormous, I've read other manga that clearly start to take the concept more seriously over time but never one that shifts so early and so clearly.
