Can't remember specifics, but here's what I (vaguely) remember:
Aside from that I can't remember if he was reincarnated or simply transported to this world. I think it's similar to a game he plays as he seems to gain skills quickly (can't remember if he has a status screen or not). I think he's a rogue/assassin type but don't hold me to that.

- MC joins a guild.
- Instead of talking to the cute receptionist, he talks to the older male receptionist.
- Older guy is surprised MC wants to talk to him; even more so that the MC seems to be diligent in his questions (most adventures don't seem to take information gathering seriously).
- MC tries not to stand out but is singled out by the guild master.
- Is given (blackmailed?) a quest to check out/destroy a goblin(orc?) settlement.
- While completing quest he saves two girls (one is a bodyguard and the other is a noble/royal)?
