Am I thr only one who's actually rooting for Nao? C'mon, kids do stupid things. You can't judge him for that. And he really, seriously likes Shiharu I really like him 🥺

Nao is very meh part of the story imo. I can understand where he's going at but he was never a character I felt invested in.

If he was too likeable though, most of us wouldn't be rooting for Matsunaga-san—not that the age-gap debuff (or buff, I've met 50/50 people on this) was with him already (fyi, I've known people who care more about age than character and deeds).

Author really had a hard time with him, huh. Oh well, bye-bye Nao-kun. That was a dick-move you've did as a kid but I did like your farewell and monologue than most 2nd MLs. I've seen worse.

Yea I feel the exact same about Nao. He feels more like a plot device than a character, even more so than other love triangle characters. He's not exactly likable and too far out of reach for Shiharu. He never stood a chance in hell.

I definitely agree with the kids do stupid things part. His actions as a kid were understandable, but he fucked up biiiiiiiig time by pinning her to the ground like that. Personally, there wasn't a moment I ever felt compelled to root for him. He just doesn't have a good dynamic with Shiharu. At all.
