For plot reasons i think is pretty clear that (probably) a evil character (Demon king?) killed her, so she forgot the human and become his.
She don't suspect this and is disturbing she loving her murderer, as far as she knows. Then again, plot reasons, maybe she knows deep down the male MC didn't kill her.
