Ugh.
The author could have finished the fight with Starlight Breaker and no one would've complained. The move that finished off the Sankt Kaiser (among many others) and which has an added anti-barrier component built into it can't even break through a little girl's shield? Come the fuck on. I like Vivio as a character, but this is like reading a fanfiction at this point. Worst part is when you remember that in Vivid Strike, Vivio isn't even near being the strongest of the martial artists, so it's almost saying Sieg and Einhart would destroy Nanoha too.
And FFS, stop writing the thing as if Nanoha can't deal with melee fighters, she used to repel both Subaru and Erio while being bombarded by Teana and Caro on a daily basis, without breaking a sweat.
This shit almost makes Force look good in comparison.

Can't believe Nanoha of all people hold back against someone due to feelings, it is typically the other way around!

Since even a starlight breaker with Nanoha restricted to A rank should be enough to finish the fight. Like come on, when Fate and Nanoha was duking it out at even younger ages than Vivio and her group there was wide scale destruction far above what would be OK for any of the arenas and competitions we have seen so far.

I still hold Nanoha Betrayers as canon despite its status of fan-work...
But darn even I can't defend this now...
Unless they show Nanoha pretending all the while to being defeated this is really getting awful.

I knew this was coming. I helped the manga along so we could get this stuppidity over quickly, and MT goes out of his way to REMIND US how STUPID this outcome is by reminding us that a more OP Vivio couldn't do SHIT against this, but I guess a sorry excuse for a device + a kid we've been repeatedly told isnt up to snuff for fighting can beat the ultimate variant of SLB.
And this is why everything since Gears of Destiny has frankly been trash in this franchise.
A real real shame.
And I'm not agaisnt Nanoha loosing. I'm miffed but for example I'm fine with like Teana comming up with TACTICS to fool her or something, but Vivio has NOT in ANY SHAPE OR FORM earned this.

Even her last strike here is practically because LuLu made the arena such that a miserable land hugger like her could "fly". Because that's making a level field. Putting an fighterbomber on the ground in the range of an APC....
And this is why everything since Gears of Destiny has frankly been trash in this franchise.

The worst part is I've known this was comming ever since the raws came out and one person told all of us how GREAT the ending was and how cool Vivio was. Which was when this utter stinking pile of donkey trot came out. So I've been STEAMING about this and other BS we've been forced under ever since Gears of Destiny, and now I can only VENT SALT.

I wish the creators would have pulled a Gundam Seed Destiny on us and just changed protagonists midway.
Spin-offs about secondary characters are perfectly fine, but they should stop trying to nerf their original heroines just to put the new protagonists into the spotlight, especially when Nanoha and co. were shown to be some super awesome sauce child prodigies from the beginning.
It's kinda crazy that this franchise peaked with A's and just went downhill from there (disregarding the PSP games which I don't know, and the movies which are actually good IMO).
