To begin with, you may notice our MC lives alone. This is because he is essentially under the supervision of a massive corporation. When our MC was younger, he was a soccer/football prodigy. The corporation took him out of a significant match because of a conflict of interest between the corporation's clients, the opposing team, and our MC. It also just so happens that the MC's best friend was on his team as well, which is why he feels guilty and needs to "atone."

It's not the MOST realistic plot/explanation for his past trauma but I'm sure there are similar situation that happen in the real world.

Remember, this is a romcom first, and not as much of a drama. It's mainly about the dynamic between Charlotte, Emma, and our MC. While the past trauma does come into play, it serves more as a plot device to show character growth over time.
so all of this. Because of a fucking matchfixing?

Mfkers probably had losing parlays

Why do i get the feeling, he'll fall in love with Charlotte, but later Akira displays interest in her too and through his "atonement" bs he takes a step back and is gonna be jealous, while Akira probably trys to also get closer to Emma and all

Sure hope I'm wrong and nothing of that is even remotely true 🥲

Wife and daughter came for the weekend pension.

Paid in blushes and handholding. :glee:
More like a wife with the older sister to me.
Can I just say that despite how cute Emma and Charlotte are, I am 100% here for sensei?

Really that’s it? I thought it was some kind of trauma where someone was injured or killed based on how they’re talking. Also strange that he lives alone
Adding on to those spoilers,

He wasn't just taken out of the match. He was literally locked up in his room and prevented from leaving until the match was almost over, witnessing his best friend suffer from an injury.

He was basically the team leader and the carry for his team, so they literally couldn't win without him and he blamed himself for it.

Emma's oversized head in this chapter still gets me ngl, sometimes I feel like that makes her even more cute but it does make me laugh cuz it so silly

Finally we have some more Emma action. Unfortunately, it initially had a bit of some edgy MC bs, but thankfully, it seemed to be resolved quickly. It's nice that any drama that's brought up is usually resolved within or by the next chapter.

In other news, we expect to have CH7 out very soon. We revamped the team/workflow for this series so we can get caught up and stay on top of releases.

Have a great day,

- Anth
thanks for the release!

That's actually one of the most crap reasons I've read for anything anywhere except for "hypnosis" in doujins.
