You know I never thought of it that way of an art piece. Somewhat of an artist here, but not to the extreme. I never thought of giving my artworks like that a background setting since it is a still piece thats like a sketch. Having them have a background is something that only be from a story piece and is not necessary in art so I thought. I feel like I somehow understand a bit on why art should have one. Art expresses the artist but this also expresses the art piece too. Not just through the eyes of the artist but also to through the art itself.

It is normal to just draw without any settings behind. You just learn it on the way like, "wait, what if we give him/her some personality?" And that will keep evolving until you reach the question of, "how would he/she look like to the viewer if we add a story? What if I put a piece of real life events? Can the viewer relate to the character? How can I make the viewer fall in love with them? Do people prefer peace or war? Can I tug their heart strings or empathy?" The list goes on and on while you draw. Which I call a zone for artists that only not tell a story in their artwork but also a piece of what they were thinking while drawing it.

Art have limitless potential and creativity thanks to that. There is no such thing as peak for the art world. Artists, whether amateur or professional will keep striving for greater heights in their art as much as time can give them. What could simply be a hobby, might become a routine you enjoy like a walk in the park.

Beem has such a nice smile. I was happy seeing Beem talk about Palome with Silvia and friends.

When Palome got joy from seeing terrified faces, I think Iruma flashed back to Kirio saying he got joy from watching others in despair.

Palmone hypothetically speaking could be Kiriwo's future girlfriend/wife.

Kiriwo also learns how Beem made a painting of a woman named Palmone who rejoices when she sees despair in the eyes of others.

Kiriwo putting himself in a certain position/posture so that Beem can highlight his joy as best as possible when he sees despair on the faces of the others.

And some time later, Baal is extremely angry with Kiriwo, because he spent a lot of money, for a bitter painting of him/a bitter portrait with him.

I am just remembering that during the Music Festival arc, Soi was also banned from his artistic expression, but Iruma's influence and growth helped him be able to obtain both his ability to play music and be the invisible heir apparent to his clan. I am presuming a similar event will happen here. Beem is being denied their pleasure and Iruma will help them find a means to express it and be free from the chains Beem's family has put on the student. Iruma will help Beem temper their skills so it won't be as harmful to viewers of the artwork. Like how Iruma tempered the other Misfits from rabble to prominent members of the school.

I'm hoping we're seeing the parents initially horrified that Beem hurt someone else, but then finding out that with Iruma's support they can do what they love while not hurting anyone, they are super supportive, like the principal.

Page 2, mother suggests their child should stop drawing while father has doubts. Page 8 the dude from the gallery is talking to Beems mother about complaints they recieve, which result in Beem signing a pledge. If anything I'd say that she's in control of their family.

The difference between the two scenarios is that Purson was being stopped from his passion because of his family's traditions, but Beem's situation is quite different since his parents have no issues with him embracing his passion for drawing (hence why the contract is only that Beem's art is burned before completion and done at home,) but they also recognize that Beem's completed works actually hurt people somehow (my guess is that it has something to do with Beem's bloodline magic,) so the issue might be more like poor communication (hard to say if Beem's parents tried to convey the danger and Beem just didn't understand, or if they just for seem reason chose not to tell him.) I think the other person lashed out because you implied the root problem is a house built on a patriarchy (I don't even think that would be true of Purson's case, since it was tradition in general that was the problem, not the gender of the head of the household, and this case is similarly unrelated to such things.) It is true that the other comment went too far in reprimanding you, a respectful correction is all that should have happened, but that's the internet for you.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if the issue is an actual problem caused by Beem's bloodline ability, like if maybe he captures the subject's soul in the painting (meaning the Palmone painting is exactly as Beem says it is, it's the actual demon,) and Gramps falling unconscious could have been a similar case, and this is why Beem is never allowed to finish a painting since only finished products can do this, that's my ongoing theory anyway, especially after what Beem said about his most famous painting 🤔
