Yes actually there is a food shortage in the demon world Iruma is just rich with their school full of rich kids thats why we don't see it in the series but for common demon its probably an issue.

This chapter to be specific

Yeah, someone pointed that out for me. I had forgotten about it since it was such a minor mention and the other demons didn't seem to bothered by it, and also sorta wrote it off as the glutton demon not having as much food as he'd liked.

Its... its so peak. I had forgotten about Iruma's inability to gain an ambition and try to become a leader (and how/why we'll see him become the King), and this chapter has finally resurfaced it, incredible job Nishi.

It would make sense for people not knowing about their farming skills considering they only peddle their hearing skills.

Iruma back at his genius but this time it's solving situations with food, how the hell is not obese yet ?
He's been hounded by the snack patrol for months now. The one downside of bringing the love trio is them policing his snacking habits.

I think that at the time there were other problems mentioned along side. The problems mentioned after were in order: illegal trading (not mentioned what was traded), illegal visits by high ranking demons (also unmentioned where), and mention of war by the wolf guy. From here on the conversation shifts to who would be the demon king. Considering what the problems are food is something that would be considered later after they round up the high ranking demons and figure out illegal trades which would cause problems if there were more food.

That's kinda lame appear out of nowhere convenient solution
I mean I wouldn't say out of nowhere

Maybe a bit contrived but the carrot has been there, also it makes sense that the magic lesson that started this would be the thing that gives iruma the inspiration to end this conflict.

After all the point of the arc is that the many ears shouldn't have to rely on only their hearing and that nova is going to be the future king of the many ears because of his kindness and hard work.

That hardwork paying off is hardly out of nowhere.

But I do think this was rather fast paced. Probably had to move the arc along somehow?

had me in the first half, not gonna lie. I thought it was continuing down the shounen route where instinct is always precedent over logical reasoning.

Unique Selling Point found. now to find a target market.

This series making jokes and them actually landing??? I might continue reading not because of commitment but because it is genuinely getting good.
