So, it's canon that Female Demons are both less in number, AND actually stronger. Mostly because of more powerful and intense hunting instincts, making them more aggresive and relentless in their path to their goals.
Looking at the amount of girls in the Class, and also at their track record of behaviour...

Adding to this, it makes Babylys a unique place, as it seems to have a more even sex-ratio. It makes sense as an elite institution.
What is left unsaid is this creates an interesting dynamic that really makes for an inhuman society. As far as the human world is concerned, there are usually
fewer men than women. Most non-European societies had what we could call polygamous structures, so, as in this world, only a (relatively) few men tend to dominate the female population and access to sex. Even in European societies that were monogamous, the rate of male death meant a far smaller amount of men ever went on to breed compared to the female population.
This is sort of breeding characteristic though really creates a hard population cap and even more brutal competition. I can't even imagine how it could work...there would basically be extreme polygyny (sharing of a single female, which we see with the Succubus types who are sort of deified temple prostitutes), and the males organizing typically into coalitions to compete for access to these females.
Well, they are all magic anyway, but for a throw-away line it creates a lot of issues, unless we know the ratio is not that extreme.
This, of course, assumes the males have a human level of sex drive and human reproductive strategies...which, why would they?It would cause pretty cataclysmic violence and chaos. It might also be a Queen-Bee syndrome...so, like weirdly individualist beehive families, but they aren't all Matriarchal or Matrilocal, which is also strange.
Lol, it feels like the way the previous Demon Lord fixed the world must have been skewing the female population from 1:10 to maybe 1:4.
