I understand the point you’re making. Okaya already being a super detective does set the stage for absurdity, and I get that the manga has embraced this over-the-top premise for a while. But even so, there’s a difference between being a genius detective and actually controlling the police force. It’s one thing to be incredibly smart and connect dots others might miss, but it’s another to wield that kind of institutional power—especially when we’re talking about a high schooler (or middle schooler) pulling the strings behind law enforcement. That just feels like a huge leap, even in a world where things have already been pushed to ridiculous extremes.

Sure, the story has embraced the absurd, but there’s still a point where it crosses into territory that’s harder to accept, even with suspended disbelief.

This it's jumping into another revenge story where MC has control of entire criminal organizations. Which is where I dropped. I'd be okay with Okaya having Sherlock levels of deductive reasoning jumps but this pushes it beyond the suspension of disbelief.

I'll be absolutely far-fetched for this but i remember Maria in ch1 mentions that she used to get bullied. Then in ch 2 Maria tells to Okaya that she knows Okaya's Mother well.

Wouldn't that be coincidence if Okaya's mother once Maria's bullies in the past? 🫨

This just dawned on me, but considering that Kiritaka's death was caused by a blackmail video involving his own mother, I wonder if Maria plans on pulling the same stunt VIA Shizuka. It doesn't have to be a sex tape perse, but it could be something like an artificial video of Shizuka admitting to their family's wrongdoings, and how she covered up her son's behavior. Maria typically follows a theme of punishing the bullies with their own actions cranked up a notch, so in this case, it could be the video actually being released to the public causing an entire scandal.
