Given the rest of the manga, I would be more surprised if they didn't eventually do it in her dead dad's room

Don't it in the dead dad's room is a definite possibility, just not tonight. Between thinking about being in the dead dad's room, Mikoto crawling into bed and thinking about that, then the mom standing there and thinking about that.

They'll prob do it and we'll see the dead dad hovering in the corner in his mind giving him a thumbs up
