Yep, me too. It's beyond stupid to spare even monster without clear reason. Time to drop this series. The moment an author decides their protagonist must spare everyone, monsters included, the story is done for me. It turns into nothing more than a display of foolish naivety.
Like, I can get having your protagonist resist killing. Killing someone leaves a huge weight to carry even if done in self defense.Yep, me too. It's beyond stupid to spare even monster without clear reason. Time to drop this series.
I pretty sure it's suggested that when he regained his memories, she also remembered that moment for the first time since then. So she wouldn't have known the reason he has no skills at the time he went off.Wait, Nadja claiming responsibility for Alex not having any skills is a casually dropped bombshell that could potentially make her look very bad, with her having let him wander off to become an adventurer regardless.
That is one of the reasons I was using the word potentially. From what is shown here I guess that when Alex used dragon powers as a child before, she had Daddy-O lock up both their memories, because she wished to live with him as normal humans. That'd mean in the best case she's just guilty of underestimating his tenacity in wanting to become and adventurer and not setting up any safeguards so he might be able to defend himself in a dangerous situation later on.I pretty sure it's suggested that when he regained his memories, she also remembered that moment for the first time since then. So she wouldn't have known the reason he has no skills at the time he went off.
Her memory loss was also hinted at earlier when she felt uneasy hearing someone talking badly about the black dragon, but she couldn't understand why (implying she forgot he's her father).
