The only thing I don't understand is why they don't simply say that they know each other from forever and are comfortable together, that made natural to become a couple, that would make it reasonable to the surronding kids.

I always find it BS in any manga.

Because no one cares how your hair looks like, it's how you present yourself especially in high school.
