Notifications for sequels, prequels, spin-offs and splits

As things stand now, a manga's sequel/prequel/spin-off being added to this site or a number of its chapters being split off into a separate title would slip under the radar of readers that are following the original work unless they make a habit of regularly checking its main page (an impractical thing to ask for those who have a lot of followed manga), or (in the case of splits) the reader has the work marked as "Reading" and at least one of the transplanted chapters is recent enough that they can easily notice it vanishing from their Follows page. It would be great if readers can get specific notifications for such things.

I'd rather not be bombasted by notifications. Just to give you a picture imagine this gets implemented and you have series like these in your follows
Ore no imouto
Konosuba
Toaru majutsu no index
and many others like this. Not only would you get a shit ton of notifications from series like this but then there's the spin offs spin offs too. Fuck that man.

There are plans for Franchise and Artist/Author pages. Don't know what they will do but we can expect to be able to follow them just like manga? Make that suggestion.
