Yeah, the obvious options are:

1. Try to destroy the sword.
2. Try to hide the sword somewhere that the monsters will never find it.
3. Use the sword as bait to lure demon lord candidates into a trap.

I assume #1 won't work without some huge undertaking, like with the ring in The Lord of the Rings. And #2 might not work if the sword can somehow be sensed from a distance. The vampire is probably going to show up to take the sword before the humans are ready to defend it, though.

The issue is, they couldn’t recognize the diff, hence why the demon sword is displayed in the church as if it’s the holy sword. The only way everyone knows how to confirm it outside the scabbard is that it burns your hand if you’re not the hero, but the demon sword does the same thing to non-demon lords, and most ppl didn’t know that the demon sword even does THAT as well, hence why it got mistaken as the hero sword.

That’s why they had to bring the scabbard to double check it.

Honestly, I kinda forgot that she was only half-ogre, rather than just being a humanoid subtype or whatever. I wonder if after she inevitably wields Reve, she'll be able to end up holding Krau as well, dual-wielding them would be pretty funny. Though I assume she'll just get Reve and Alsat will get Krau.
